The Production Leader is responsible for directing and managing all linked fabrication and assembly processes, communication flow and plant activities related to the assigned production lines. The position is responsible and accountable for safety, quality, productivity, material handling, cost performance, and capital improvements. Failure to achieve results may cause delays in customer commitments and/or scheduling.
Education: Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Business Management or other related discipline is preferred. Minimum of associate degree in business technology or engineering or a combination of education and experience is required.
Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant plant level operations experience in a high mix/medium volume environment is required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Experience serving large, demanding customers and understanding how to meet their needs.
Skills: First-hand knowledge of production process and products in area of responsibility. Basic knowledge and contribution to problem solving and business system software (MS Office and Kronos WFR). Ability to create presentations in some Microsoft business system software’s: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Other Requirements: Ability to demonstrate communication verbally and in writing at a basic level Knowledge of operational excellence principles, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and 5S is preferred.
