Plans, designs, and specifies modular chillers units for commercial and industrial applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes performance requirements and design configurations of chillers based on schedules and specifications set forth by customer and/or engineers.
  • Respond to inquiries from our sales representatives in the pursuit of new specifications and orders.
  • Generate selections, drawings and other technical information to support the sales representative in pursuing business.
  • Determine feasibility and cost of performing special modifications to our equipment to satisfy customer requirements and provide special price quotes to our field sales representatives.
  • Generates submittal documents for approval by the appropriate authority in the field utilizing selection software and computer programs.
  • Make revisions to submittal text document and drawings as necessary to reflect changes in project requirements.
  • Review and respond to any mark-ups received on the submittal documents.
  • Determine revised pricing, if necessary, due to changes resulting from submittal revisions.
  • Provide guidance to customer service on order write up document for distribution to BOM Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Provide guidance to mechanical and electrical designers in generation of shop documents.
  • Contact sales Representatives as required to obtain necessary information and approvals.
  • Ability to establish rapport and develop relationships with representatives and vendors.

Skills & Abilities

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with Mechanical emphasis from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience: Two to four years of experience in design and/or mechanical chiller systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Skilled with MS Office. AutoCAD, a plus. General knowledge of database software, design/selection software, bill of materials, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • Certificates & Licenses: N/A
  • Required Skills: Ability to read detailed documents such as specifications and equipment schedules. Ability to communicate, both orally and written, with customers in a technical manner.
